The origin of a cacao with soul
This cacao was the beginning of Sumay.
I discovered it in Cusco, Peru, thanks to a producer whose family has cultivated the same land for three generations. When I tasted it, I felt a deep and spontaneous joy—one of those sensations that rise directly from the heart. In that moment, I knew I needed to visit its origin.
Surrounded by bamboo and flowing water, I found a living plantation. Ancient trees cared for with respect, handmade fertilizers created from the cacao itself, and a genuine bond with the land and its ancestors. Everything made sense: the energy I felt in that first cup was connected to the way this cacao is grown.
A living food, not a treat
This cacao, gentle and pleasant on the palate, was the one I chose to start Sumay. With it, we created our blends: Kids, Vida Activa, Fresh, and our seasonal editions.
It is noble, versatile cacao—perfect for those who seek a deep yet enjoyable experience. It is not candy or a sweet craving; it is an ancestral, complete, nutrient-rich food filled with magnesium, iron, antioxidants, and minerals that support the body day after day.
Our cacao comes from the Criollo variety.

For those seeking clarity, energy, and connection
This is the cacao I recommend to anyone starting a journey with this natural medicine, especially if they want to integrate it into their daily life or use it as a gentle alternative to coffee.
Ceremonial cacao provides steady energy without overstimulating the nervous system. Unlike coffee, it doesn’t produce anxiety spikes or sudden drops. Thanks to its theobromine content, the body activates smoothly and steadily.
It also contains natural compounds that enhance serotonin and melatonin production, supporting mood and promoting restful sleep when taken at the right time.
Many people who drink it daily tell me they feel more energy, better focus, and a general sense of wellbeing. And it’s no coincidence: cacao works directly with the heart, both physically and emotionally.
How to enjoy it in your daily routine
You can prepare it simply with warm water, or add soft spices, plant-based milk, or dried fruits. Enjoy it in the morning as clean energy to begin the day, or as a conscious pause during work or study.
It is a way to nourish yourself with a real, natural food connected to an ancestral story.
An ancestral medicine for everyday life
Vida Cotidiana is not a treat—it is a pure, complete food.
If we want to create meaningful changes in our lifestyle, diet, and emotional wellbeing, cacao can accompany us in a powerful and genuine way.
