Hello, I'm AgosTina, founder of Sumay Cacao — and this is the story behind a project with soul.


Sumay was born from a deep personal journey with ceremonial cacao.

I'm originally from Argentina and have lived in Spain for over 20 years. I've always felt a strong connection to conscious nutrition and medicinal plants, but it was cacao that truly transformed my life.

The Encounter with Ceremonial Cacao

It all began when I discovered ceremonial cacao in its most pure and ancestral form.

Used by cultures such as the Mayas and Aztecs in their rituals, this drink revealed to me that cacao was not just food — it was living medicine.

Its energy, its heart-opening nature, and spiritual connection touched me deeply from the very first cup.

Medicinal Plants and Natural Synergy

Later, I began combining cacao with medicinal plants, initially for personal use. I discovered a powerful synergy: cacao enhanced the effects of the plants — and the plants amplified the qualities of cacao.

This natural alchemy awakened my intuition and led me to start creating my own blends.

A Journey to Peru, an Authentic Origin

In 2018, I traveled to Peru, where I met cacao-growing communities and local cooperatives.

I learned about the traditional cultivation of the Ganso cacao variety in the Cuzco region.

The way they respected the land and treated cacao moved me deeply.

Since then, we have worked directly with these producers, supporting fair trade and organic farming.

I created Sumay Cacao with the intention of bringing an ancestral ritual into modern life.

Today we offer pure ceremonial cacao and unique blends designed to support different moments in life — from physical activity to menstrual cycles, meditation, or rest.

Each Sumay formula is created as a bridge between body, mind, and soul.

Because cacao is not just a product. It is presence.
