The Origin of Sumay
Sumay was born from a personal search — a path toward reconnection, inner listening, and respect for the Earth. Ceremonial cacao appeared as a teacher plant, a pure, medicinal food with the capacity to support deep transformation.
Since then, Sumay exists to bring authentic ceremonial cacao to Europe, honouring its origin, its integrity, and its essence.
Origin
We work directly with small producers in Peru and Ecuador, selecting native, non-hybrid cacao varieties cultivated with traditional practices and deep respect for the land.
Each origin is chosen for its exceptional quality, its energetic integrity, and the care of the communities who cultivate it.
Our cacao is not an industrial product. It is a living food.
